HOT PINK

I wanted to modernise the Eighteenth Century and Victorian fitted jackets and stomachers so that they could be worn with jeans. I laser cut the jean label out of scrap leather from the Vanson Leather factory. As well as using orange bias tape instead of lining, to highlight the two-toned satin.
Since the top stitching stands out I wanted to make sure that the seams were thoughtfully placed. Therefore, I taught myself how to draft a raglan sleeve, from the patterning book, and made 7 iterations until the seams curved around the body, cradling the elbow.
